Antioxidants

An antioxidant protects the body against harmful free radicals and harmful substances. Free radicals are released when food is converted into energy. Free radicals have useful functions in the body, but when there are too much they can cause less resistance. Vitamin C and E, beta-carotene, selenium, copper, zinc, co-enzymes Q10 and OPC are known for their anti-oxidant effect, as well as herbs.

Schizandra increases the activity and the effect of anti-oxidants and reduces the formation of free radicals in the liver.
