Bio packaging


Most importantly in a bio collection is the packaging you choose. Choosing sustainable materials keeps the packaging environment-friendly.


rPET bottles

The 100% rPET bottles are completely made from recycled PET bottles (rPET). Using 100% rPET bottles prevents more plastic production and can be recycled again. The rPET bottles have food-grade so they can keep the product safe inside. The bottles are available in a transparent rPET and are compatible with the specially designed wood-look pump and spray.

Available in sizes 100, 125, 150, 250 and 500ml.

Sugarcane bottles

Besides the rPET bottles, the Cobeco Private Label Bio collection also offers white tubes and bottles of biodegradable and renewable source sugarcane material. The material is made of the sugarcane by-product Bagasse, the leftover after the juices and sugars are removed from the sugarcane plant. The sugarcane tubes and bottles are recyclable and biodegradable, while still being safe to use for cosmetic products.

Available in sizes 50, 100, 150 and 250ml.


Plastic closures can be recycled, but currently there are no usable closures on the market from sustainable materials. However, there are ways to make closures more sustainable by using less plastic. Instead of an external tamper-evident plastic ring, choose a tamper-evident seal inside the cap. Cobeco also offers a specially designed closure with external tamper-evident that is integrated into the closure, which uses less plastic.


Labels that use a regular adhesive do not separate during the recycling process and will discolor the PET, making it unusable for recycling. Choose a label with a water-soluble adhesive, that will dissolve during recycling and keeps the PET recyclable.

Cobeco Pharma offers a special three-layer label with a water-soluble adhesive that will keep rPET bottles recyclable.

The top layer is a white top-coated polypropylene film that can be printed with your preferred design. Polypropylene (PP) is a recyclable plastic and is more environmentally friendly than other plastics as it is recyclable and doesn’t release as many toxins as other plastics.

This label uses WHS1000, which is a permanent acrylic adhesive. The adhesive is designed to deactivate during the recycling process and will dissolve without any adhesive residue. During the recycling process, the label will come off easily and can be separated from the rPET.

The third layer is a 100% recyclable clear transparent liner. The liner is made of up to 30% recycled post-consumer waste.

A different labeling option is a paper label. This label has a paper finish that compliments the bio appearance.
